I have known J.M and his family
for 7 years and have become very close with his family.
A few years ago several friends and I had been looking for a
good tobacco shop one friend had introduced me to a line of pipe that
he had purchased at a Tinderbox in Harrisburg (Boswell Pipes).
Impressed with the Pipe I sought out to get one of my own but
was not able to find one, my friend then noticed from the package that
his pipe was crafted in Chambersburg, PA.
One Friday we made a trip to the
Boswell’s shop, it was like no other that I had seen.
The atmosphere of the shop was so down to earth; it was as if I
had walked back in time twenty years.
The service and pride in there work was overwhelming, I had
never before experienced people that wanted to make you feel as if you
where one of their own.
Meeting J.M for the first time was totally unexpected, I mean you
really have to be there and see and hear some of the things he says.
He is so down to earth and straight forward you just can't
imagine someone like that running a tobacco shop.
My thoughts of a tobacconist are a sales person only interested
in selling me a product but J.M. was so much more than that.
He would actually take time and sit in the shop tell a tall
tail and ultimately get to know you.
Let me tell you, J.M. has some tall tails to tell and you can
never tell if he is serious or not, he is so funny and just off the
wall sometimes.
If you ever get the chance to
stop in the Historic town of Chambersburg, PA make sure you visit the
Boswell's Shop. I have
been visiting their shop weekly for the past 7 years just to visit the
Boswell family and enjoy a fine bowl of tobacco in a very relaxed
atmosphere. Along with my
frequent visits I also enjoy creating and working on their Website.
I hope to be updating and adding exciting changes to their
